Tesla is known for adding fun and unexpected Easter eggs to its vehicles. One of the most popular is Santa Mode, a holiday-themed feature that brings Christmas animations, sounds, and a festive navigation look to your Tesla. If you’re wondering what Santa Mode is, how it works, or how to activate Tesla’s full Christmas experience, this guide covers everything step by step.

What Is Tesla Santa Mode?

Tesla Santa Mode, often called Christmas Mode or the Holiday Easter Egg, is a festive visual and audio theme that appears on your Tesla display when activated. When enabled:

The Tesla vehicle icon on your navigation screen transforms into Santa’s sleigh

Other nearby cars appear as reindeer

Turn signals can play sleigh bell sounds

The interface gains a Christmas-style theme

Santa Mode does not affect how the vehicle drives. It is purely for entertainment and holiday atmosphere.

Santa Mode first appeared in Tesla’s 2016 holiday software update and remains a fan favorite every December.

How to Turn On Tesla Santa Mode

You can activate Santa Mode in two simple ways.

1. Activate Santa Mode With a Voice Command

Use your Tesla’s built-in voice control and say:

“Ho Ho Ho.”

To trigger the version with additional audio and music, say:

“Ho Ho Ho Not Funny.”

Your Tesla will instantly switch into Santa Mode.

2. Activate Santa Mode Through the Toybox Menu

If you prefer enabling it manually:

Tap the Toybox icon (sometimes labeled Easter Eggs) on your Tesla screen.

Scroll to find Santa Mode.

Tap Santa Mode to activate the visuals and sounds.

Your navigation map and driving visualizations will immediately change into Christmas style.

How to Turn Off Santa Mode

To exit Santa Mode, simply:

Tap the Santa Mode icon again in the Toybox

Or use the voice command: “Turn off Santa Mode.”

Your Tesla will return to its regular interface and sounds.

How to Put Your Tesla Into Full Christmas Mode

Santa Mode is just one part of Tesla’s holiday features. Here are the other Christmas options you can activate.

Tesla Christmas Light Show (Holiday Show)

This feature is available on most Tesla models, including Model 3, Model Y, Model S, and Model X.

To start the light show:

Open Toybox.

Select Light Show.

Park the car, exit, and watch your Tesla perform a synchronized music and light performance.

This includes headlights, taillights, mirrors, windows, and even doors on certain models.

Santa-Themed Navigation Display

Some Tesla software versions automatically apply a winter-style navigation theme after Santa Mode is turned on. If not, you can manually adjust certain features:

Open Toybox.

Select Santa Mode.

Make sure the setting for turn signal bells is enabled.

Begin driving to see the festive visualizations.

Which Tesla Models Support Santa Mode?

Santa Mode is supported on all newer Tesla models, including:

Model S

Model 3

Model X

Model Y

Older Teslas with early MCU1 hardware may have limited features, but most still support the basics. If you don’t see Santa Mode, be sure your software is updated.

To update:

Controls → Software → Check for Update

Why you will enjoy Santa Mode

Santa Mode adds a fun seasonal twist to the driving experience. It is a hit among families, passengers, and anyone who enjoys Tesla’s playful personality. It has become a holiday tradition for many Tesla drivers and a popular way to show off Tesla’s unique software capabilities.

Buying a used Tesla can be an amazing value—strong performance, low running costs, and frequent software updates that keep the car feeling modern years after it leaves the showroom.
But Teslas are not ordinary used cars. They have their own set of things you need to inspect carefully before making a purchase. Before my Tesla Model Y, the first Tesla that I actually bought was a used Tesla Model 3. And I wish back then I know the things I know today.

This guide walks you through every critical area, with detailed instructions on exactly how to check the car properly.

Battery Health and Range Degradation

The battery is the heart of every Tesla and also the most expensive component. Checking its condition is essential.

How to check Tesla battery health

Charge the car to 90% or 100% if possible.
Go to the charging screen and look at the estimated range. Compare it to the original EPA range for that model.
Example: A Model 3 Long Range had around 499 km new. If it now shows 440–460 km at 100%, that’s typical.

Ask the seller for a battery report.
Some owners use Scan My Tesla, Tessie, or Teslafi. Even screenshots from these apps help.

Observe charging behavior.
Plug the car into a fast charger (if possible).

Slow charging speeds might indicate throttling or cell imbalance.

If the battery stops charging before reaching the selected limit, that’s also a warning sign.

Look for signs of abuse.
Cars used extensively for ride-sharing or frequent DC fast charging can have accelerated battery wear.

Typical battery degradation for Teslas is 5–10% after 150.000 km, but some cars remain healthier.

Drive Unit Condition

Tesla motors are generally long-lasting, but they can develop issues—especially older Model S and X units.

How to check the drive unit in a Tesla

Test acceleration at different speeds.
If you hear a high-pitched whining or grinding noise, the drive unit might be worn.

Lift off the accelerator at 50–80 km/h.
Listen for humming sounds, vibrations, or clunks.

Check Tesla service history.
Many drive units have been replaced under warranty. Replacements are usually a good sign since newer units are more reliable.

Suspension and Steering Components

Teslas are heavier than most cars because of their batteries, which puts more stress on suspension parts.

What and how to check:

Upper control arms (a known weak point).
Turn the steering wheel and listen for popping/clicking sounds.
A mechanic can also lift the car and check for play.

Air suspension (Model S and X).

Raise and lower the suspension through the menu.

Listen for a noisy compressor.

Look for uneven ride height.

Test drive over bumps.
If you hear clunks, rattles, or knocking, suspension bushings may be worn.

Check tire wear.
Uneven patterns (especially inside wear on Model 3/Y) can indicate alignment or suspension issues.

Brakes and Regeneration System

Because Teslas rely heavily on regenerative braking, the physical brakes sometimes suffer from lack of use.

How to check the brakes properly in a Tesla

Inspect the brake rotors visually.
Look through the wheel spokes for rust rings, pitting, or corrosion.

Check for uneven braking.
During a drive:

Light braking should be smooth.

If the car pulls to one side, a caliper may be sticking.

Listen for scraping or grinding.
Rare but possible if the brake pads rusted in place.

Check the parking brake function.
Put the car in “Hold” mode on a slight incline to ensure everything is functioning.

Software Features and Hardware Versions

One of the most important parts of a Tesla is what software and hardware it has. This can drastically change the car’s true value.

What to verify:

Autopilot Package
Go to Controls → Software.
It will show:

Basic Autopilot

Enhanced Autopilot

Full Self-Driving Capability (FSD)

Make sure the advertised package matches what the car actually has.
Sellers often make mistakes—or sometimes mislead.

Hardware versions:

HW3.0 is required for full FSD features.

You can check hardware version by:

Asking Tesla service

Looking in Service Mode if the owner allows

Checking build year (most 2019+ cars have HW3)

MCU version (infotainment computer):

MCU1 has slower performance and can fail more often.

MCU2 is much faster and supports Tesla Theater (Netflix/YouTube).
Check by opening the browser and YouTube—if it’s fast, it’s MCU2.

Premium Connectivity
Many used Teslas lose lifetime Premium Connectivity when ownership changes. Check if it’s still active.

Charging Restrictions and Access

Not all used Teslas are equal when it comes to charging.

What to verify:

Free Unlimited Supercharging
Tesla removed transferability on many cars.
Ask the seller to show it working on their account.

Check if the car is salvage.
Salvage Teslas often have Supercharging disabled.

DC fast charging speed
Older cars can have reduced speeds after high DC usage.
You can test this by visiting a Supercharger and looking at the peak kW.

Exterior and Body Inspection

Tesla’s panel alignment varies more than traditional brands—especially earlier Fremont-built cars.

How to inspect the Tesla exterior

Check gaps around doors, hood, and trunk.
Uneven gaps don’t always mean damage, but they matter.

Look for paint mismatch.
Check reflections under direct light to spot repainted areas.

Inspect glass roof and windows.
Look for cracks, chips, or delamination.

Check the underside.
Use a flashlight to inspect the battery skid plates for deep scratches or damage.
A hard hit can be expensive.

Look for bumper misalignment.
Common on Model 3/Y if the car was hit or improperly repaired.

Interior Condition

Tesla interiors are minimalist, but there are key areas to inspect.

How to inspect Tesla interior for damage

Touchscreen health.
Look for yellow borders or ghost touches (older S/X issue).

Seat wear.
White seats can develop stains or cracks.
Black seats on Model 3/Y sometimes wrinkle.

Rattles and vibrations.
Drive over uneven roads with the radio off.

Window operation.
Auto up/down should work smoothly.

HVAC system.
Turn on full heat and full cooling to check for compressor noise or weak airflow.

Warranty Status

Warranty can significantly influence the car’s value.

How to check Tesla Waranty Status

Go to Controls → Software.
It shows warranty end dates if you tap “Additional Vehicle Information”.

Battery and Drive Unit Warranty
Verify based on:

Model

Year

Trim

A used Tesla with 1–3 years of battery warranty remaining is much safer.

Tesla Service and Repair History

Tesla does not provide a traditional service book, but the seller can access the full records.

Ask for:

Screenshots of all Tesla service visits

Drive unit or battery replacements

MCU1 → MCU2 upgrade

Suspension repairs

Warranty claims

Body repair documentation

This helps identify recurring problems.

Tesla Account Transfer

When buying a Tesla, the transfer of ownership in the Tesla system is crucial.

How to ensure Tesla Account Transfer

The seller must remove the vehicle from their Tesla account.

You should request access through the Tesla app.

Tesla usually approves within 24–48 hours.

After transfer, check:

Mobile access

Charging and climate controls

Sentry Mode

Location tracking

If you can’t add the car to your Tesla app, do not complete the purchase until you can.

Check the Car’s VIN History Before Buying

Before you pay for any used Tesla, always run a VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) check. Tesla cars often travel internationally, get imported, rebuilt, or used by companies—so hidden damage is common.

A good VIN report can reveal:

Previous accidents

Imported or exported history

Odometer rollbacks

Flood or fire damage

Total loss / salvage titles

Taxi/ride-share usage

Insurance claims

Mileage inconsistencies

Past repairs

Recalls

Whether the car was previously used as a rental

For the most complete Tesla-friendly report, you can use CarVertical, which includes photos, mileage charts, and detailed history.

You can follow this link to get 20% off. If the discount doesn’t auto apply, use the discount code AUTOUVEZI.

Tesla’s Sentry Mode is a powerful security feature that keeps your vehicle protected by recording footage during specific events such as break-ins, suspicious activities, or even minor collisions. Accessing these events on your phone ensures convenience and enables swift action if needed. In this guide, we’ll discuss how to view Sentry Mode events on your phone, explore methods to review footage, and delve into tools that enhance your viewing experience.

How to View Sentry Mode Events on Phone

The Tesla app and compatible devices make it simple to access and view Sentry Mode events directly on your phone. Here’s a step-by-step guide:

Open the Tesla App: Launch the Tesla app on your smartphone.

Navigate to Security Settings: In the app, go to the ‘Security’ section.

Access Sentry Mode Events: Select the ‘Sentry Mode’ option to view recent recorded events.

Review Event Details: The app provides a summary of recorded activities, offering insights into what triggered the alerts.

While the Tesla app is convenient for a quick review, you can explore more detailed footage saved on your USB drive.

Tesla Sentry Mode Image Screen Transparent

One of the standout features of Tesla’s Sentry Mode is its ability to display a transparent warning on the center screen when a potential threat is detected. This warning lets onlookers know they are being recorded, acting as a deterrent.

When viewing these events on your phone, it’s important to note that the app focuses on logs rather than displaying the “image screen transparent” warning shown during recording. To review detailed visuals:

Remove USB Drive: Eject the USB drive from your Tesla vehicle.

Connect to Phone: Use an adapter to connect the USB drive to your phone.

Access Files: Open the Files app on your device to browse stored videos.

Play Recordings: Select and play the event recordings to understand what transpired.

How to View Sentry Mode Events

For a seamless experience, third-party apps enhance the process of viewing Sentry Mode events. These apps provide advanced features like timeline navigation, multi-camera views, and easy sharing options. Below are some popular tools:

The Tesla Model X is a benchmark in luxury and performance for electric SUVs, and its interior is a testament to Tesla’s commitment to quality and innovation. One common question potential buyers have is whether the seats in the high-performance Model X Plaid are different from those in the standard Model X.

Are Seats Different in the Tesla Model X Plaid vs. Standard Model X?

The short answer? No, they aren’t significantly different. However, there are a few subtle distinctions worth noting.

The Similarities Between Model X Plaid and Standard Seats

Tesla maintains a high standard of comfort and quality across all Model X trims, which means that both the Plaid and standard variants share several key features:

High-Quality Materials: Both trims use Tesla’s premium vegan leather upholstery, which is durable, soft, and environmentally friendly.

Color Options: The available seat colors—black, white, and cream—are consistent across both versions, offering elegant options to suit different tastes.

Comfort and Adjustability: Each seat is 12-way power-adjustable, ensuring ergonomic support for drivers and passengers. Heating and ventilation are standard, providing year-round comfort regardless of the climate.

Subtle Differences in the Plaid Seats

While the seats in the Model X Plaid and the standard Model X are fundamentally the same, there are a few minor distinctions:

Aesthetic Enhancements: The Plaid trim may include unique stitching or design elements that align with its sporty and performance-focused branding. These are subtle changes that do not affect comfort or functionality but give the Plaid a slightly more exclusive feel.

Bolstering and Firmness: The Plaid seats might offer slightly firmer cushioning or additional bolstering for better support during high-speed cornering. However, the difference is minimal and unlikely to be noticeable during normal driving.

Shared Seating Configurations

Both the Plaid and standard Model X offer the same seating configurations, making them equally versatile for families and passengers:

5-Seater: Maximum cargo space with a two-row setup.

6-Seater: Includes captain’s chairs in the second row for a luxurious and spacious feel.

7-Seater: Ideal for larger families, with three rows of seating.

The rear seats in both trims prioritize passenger comfort and flexibility, with flat-folding options for enhanced cargo capacity.

Performance vs. Everyday Luxury

The primary difference between the Model X Plaid and the standard Model X lies in their overall purpose, not the seats. The Plaid is designed for performance enthusiasts, boasting incredible acceleration and handling. The seats may have minor tweaks to reflect this focus, but they remain comfortable and luxurious. The standard Model X, on the other hand, is more about practicality and day-to-day comfort. Its seats are equally well-crafted to provide a relaxed driving experience, whether it’s a daily commute or a long road trip.

Are Seats in the Tesla Model X Plaid and Standard Model X Identical?

The seats in the Tesla Model X Plaid and the standard Model X are nearly identical, offering the same level of luxury, comfort, and adjustability. While the Plaid trim might include subtle design touches and slightly firmer support, these differences are minor and unlikely to influence most buyers’ decisions. Ultimately, choosing between the Plaid and standard Model X comes down to performance preferences rather than seating. If you’re drawn to breathtaking acceleration and a sporty aesthetic, the Plaid is for you. But if comfort, practicality, and versatility are your priorities, the standard Model X is an equally excellent choice.

Is GMC Yukon larger than Tesla Model X?

The GMC Yukon and Tesla Model X serve different purposes and appeal to different kinds of drivers. If you need a large, traditional SUV with plenty of cargo space and a powerful engine, the Yukon is the ideal choice. On the other hand, if you prefer an electric vehicle that’s tech-savvy, efficient, and provides ample space despite its smaller dimensions, the Tesla Model X is a great option. Each vehicle excels in its own category, depending on whether you prioritize size and utility or modern electric technology and performance.

The “Replace Fuse” warning in a 2017 Tesla Model S typically refers to a pyro fuse or main battery pack fuse, a crucial safety component that protects the high-voltage systems of the car. This fuse, while designed for a lifespan of about 10 years, may require replacement earlier, prompting the warning on the vehicle’s screen.

What Causes the Fuse Warning?

The fuse warning is often triggered by a time-based mechanism integrated into the car’s electrical system. Over time, or due to particular conditions, the system will flag the fuse as needing replacement to ensure the continued safe operation of the battery pack. If the fuse is not replaced in a timely manner, the vehicle will eventually disable its battery pack, rendering it undrivable

How to Replace the Tesla Model S Pyro Fuse?

While replacing the fuse in a Tesla Model S seems straightforward, it is a specialized task due to the nature of the high-voltage systems involved. Here’s a breakdown of the process:

Locate a Tesla Service Center: Tesla’s recommended method for fuse replacement is through a Tesla Service Center, as it requires trained technicians to handle the high-voltage components safely.

Disconnect the Battery: The process begins with disconnecting the vehicle’s battery to prevent electrical shocks or further system damage. This requires special tools and knowledge of Tesla’s electrical systems.

Remove the Old Fuse: The fuse, typically located near the battery pack or in a dedicated compartment, will need to be removed. This is often a challenging step that involves removing other components to access the fuse.

Install the New Fuse: Once the old fuse is removed, a certified replacement is installed. This may include verifying the new fuse’s specifications to ensure compatibility with the car’s system.

System Reset and Testing: After the fuse is replaced, the system needs to be reset, and the car must undergo testing to ensure the high-voltage systems are functioning correctly.

What is The Cost of Replacement Tesla Model S Pyro Fuse?

The cost of replacing the pyro fuse can vary significantly based on location, labor rates, and whether the vehicle is under warranty. On average, Tesla owners have reported prices ranging from $300 to $700 for the replacement. It’s important to note that some service centers may offer different pricing depending on factors like the specific model or the battery type.

Timing and Recommendations

When the fuse warning first appears, Tesla owners are typically given a six-month grace period to replace the fuse. Ignoring the warning for too long may lead to the vehicle disabling the battery pack. Therefore, it is highly recommended that owners address the issue promptly by visiting a Tesla Service Center.

Whether you call them wheels or rims, they play a vital role in defining the vehicle’s look and driving dynamics. Let’s explore everything you need to know about Tesla Model S rims, from factory options to customization and maintenance tips.

Factory Wheels Options for Tesla Model S

Tesla provides several factory rim options for the Model S, catering to a wide range of preferences and driving needs:

Source: Tesla

Source: Tesla

21-inch Arachnid Wheels

Style: Aggressive, sporty design with a high-performance aesthetic.

Performance: Offers enhanced grip and cornering stability for spirited driving.

Trade-offs: Slightly reduces range and is more susceptible to damage due to the larger size and low-profile tires.

Finish Options: Rims can be customized in various finishes, including matte black, gunmetal gray, and polished silver, to complement your car’s color.

Winter Rims: Opt for durable 19-inch rims with winter tires for better grip and resistance to road salt and debris.

All-Season vs. Performance Tires: Match your rim selection with tires that fit your climate and driving needs.

How to Maintain Tesla Model S Wheels

Maintaining your Tesla Model S rims is essential for keeping them in top condition and ensuring a safe and enjoyable driving experience:

Regular Cleaning: Use a pH-balanced wheel cleaner to remove brake dust and dirt without damaging the finish.

Check for Damage: Inspect your rims regularly for scratches, cracks, or bends, especially if you frequently drive on rough roads.

Tire Pressure: Maintain proper tire pressure to reduce stress on the rims and maximize efficiency.

Wheel Alignment: Schedule periodic alignments to prevent uneven tire wear and maintain handling precision.

Popular Aftermarket Brands for Tesla Model S Rims

For owners looking to upgrade their Model S rims, the aftermarket offers a plethora of options. Some top brands include:

Vossen: Known for its luxurious and lightweight forged rims.

HRE Performance Wheels: Offers premium customization for those seeking high-performance and stylish designs.

TSW: Provides a wide variety of durable and attractive options.
Always verify compatibility with Tesla’s specifications when choosing aftermarket rims to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Why Rims Matter for the Tesla Model S

Rims aren’t just a design element; they’re integral to the Tesla Model S’s performance, efficiency, and driving experience. Whether you stick with Tesla’s factory options or explore custom aftermarket rims, selecting the right set can enhance your car’s look and handling.

Final Thoughts

Tesla has redefined performance in the world of electric vehicles, offering cars that combine luxury, technology, and raw speed. Among its lineup, the Tesla Model S and Tesla Model X stand out as flagship models. But which of the two is faster? Let’s break it down.

Performance Comparison

Tesla offers various configurations for the Model S and Model X, but the Plaid versions represent the pinnacle of their speed and performance capabilities.

Tesla Model S Plaid:

0-60 mph (0-100 km/h): 1.99 seconds

Top Speed: 200 mph (322 km/h)

Horsepower: 1,020 hp

Weight: ~4,766 lbs (2,162 kg)

The Model S Plaid is a benchmark for electric car speed, boasting ludicrous acceleration that puts many supercars to shame. Its aerodynamic sedan design contributes to its unparalleled speed and efficiency.

Tesla Model X Plaid:

0-60 mph (0-100 km/h): 2.5 seconds

Top Speed: 163 mph (262 km/h)

Horsepower: 1,020 hp

Weight: ~5,390 lbs (2,444 kg)

While the Model X Plaid shares the same powertrain as the Model S Plaid, its larger and heavier SUV body means it can’t quite match the sedan’s blistering speed. However, it remains one of the fastest SUVs on the market.

Key Factors Impacting Speed

Weight: The Model X is heavier due to its size and SUV design, which impacts acceleration and top speed despite its powerful motors.
Aerodynamics: The Model S has a sleeker, more aerodynamic shape, which allows it to achieve higher speeds and better efficiency at high velocities.
Purpose: The Model S is designed as a high-performance luxury sedan, while the Model X balances performance with practicality, offering a spacious interior and features like Falcon Wing doors.

Real-World Scenarios

Track Performance: The Model S dominates the racetrack with its superior acceleration and handling, making it the clear choice for enthusiasts seeking raw speed.
Everyday Driving: The Model X provides thrilling performance while accommodating families or drivers needing more cargo space.

Which is Faster?

The Tesla Model S is undoubtedly faster than the Model X in both acceleration and top speed. Its lighter weight, aerodynamic design, and performance-oriented engineering make it the ultimate choice for speed enthusiasts. However, the Model X remains a stunningly quick SUV, delivering a unique blend of practicality and performance unmatched in its category.

If speed is your priority, the Model S Plaid is the winner. But if you want a fast, family-friendly vehicle with extra utility, the Model X Plaid is still an incredible performer. Both vehicles showcase Tesla’s mastery of electric performance, proving that speed doesn’t have to come at the cost of innovation or sustainability.

One of the significant advantages of electric vehicles (EVs), including the Tesla Model Y, is their reduced need for maintenance compared to traditional gas-powered cars. This is especially true for the braking system, which benefits from regenerative braking technology. But how often should you change the brake pads in a Tesla Model Y?

Understanding Regenerative Braking in the Tesla Model Y

The Tesla Model Y, like other Tesla vehicles, uses regenerative braking, a system that captures kinetic energy during deceleration and converts it into electricity to recharge the battery. This process slows the vehicle without relying heavily on traditional brake pads, significantly reducing their wear and tear.

Because regenerative braking handles most of the deceleration, the brake pads in a Tesla Model Y tend to last much longer than those in internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles.

What is a Typical Lifespan of Brake Pads in a Tesla Model Y?

While the lifespan of brake pads can vary depending on driving habits, road conditions, and maintenance, Tesla brake pads often last up to 100,000 miles or more under normal driving conditions. By comparison, brake pads in ICE vehicles typically need replacement after 30,000 to 70,000 miles.

Whata re Factors Affecting Brake Pad Longevity?

Driving Style

Aggressive braking or frequent hard stops can increase brake pad wear, even in a Tesla.

Smooth driving that maximizes regenerative braking can extend the life of the brake pads.

Terrain and Traffic

Driving in hilly areas where regenerative braking might not handle all the deceleration can wear pads faster.

Heavy city traffic, which involves frequent braking, may also shorten brake pad lifespan.

Maintenance and Inspection

Regularly inspecting the brake system can help identify any issues, such as uneven wear or contamination, which might necessitate earlier replacement.

How to Know When Your Tesla Model Y Brake Pads Need Replacement?

Even with regenerative braking, there are situations where brake pads may wear out or require attention. Here are some signs to watch for:

Squeaking or Grinding Noises: This can indicate worn brake pads or debris lodged in the braking system.

Reduced Braking Performance: A noticeable decline in stopping power might mean the pads are nearing the end of their life.

Dashboard Warnings: Tesla’s advanced diagnostics may alert you to issues with the braking system.

Tesla Model Y Brake Pads with Red Calipers

Tesla’s Recommended Brake Maintenance

Tesla recommends regular inspections of the braking system as part of its maintenance schedule, but it does not specify a fixed interval for brake pad replacement due to the long lifespan provided by regenerative braking. Instead, Tesla service technicians inspect the brake pads during routine checks, and they will notify you if replacement is necessary.

How to Extend Brake Pad Lifespan in Tesla Model Y?

To make the most of your Tesla Model Y’s brake pads, consider the following tips:

Use Regenerative Braking: Set regenerative braking to “Standard” mode in your Tesla’s settings to maximize energy recovery and minimize brake pad usage.

Drive Smoothly: Avoid hard stops and sudden braking whenever possible.

Keep the Brakes Clean: Dirt and debris can accelerate wear; regular cleaning helps maintain performance.

Service as Needed: Ensure routine inspections during Tesla-recommended service intervals.
